The short version. This website collects nothing. The Swing Check app keeps your videos and everything measured from them on your own phone — they are never uploaded. What does leave your phone is limited to your account details and your subscription status.
Who this covers
This policy covers shawnmian.com and the iOS appSwing Check. Both are operated by Shawn Mian as an individual developer. You can reach me at[email protected] about anything on this page.
This website
shawnmian.com sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and embeds nothing from anyone else. Fonts are served from this site rather than from a font CDN, so loading a page does not reveal your visit to a third party.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for security and abuse prevention. That is Cloudflare's processing, not mine — I have no analytics dashboard and do not build profiles of visitors.
Swing Check
What stays on your phone
All of the following is written to the app's private storage on your device and is never uploaded:
- Videos you record in the app or import from your photo library
- The body-position (pose) data used to draw the skeleton over your video
- Swing measurements and the reports built from them — phases, tempo, and body movement figures
- App settings, such as the camera angle you film from
This data is removed when you delete it in the app, or when you delete the app. Because it never leaves the device, I cannot see it, recover it, or restore it for you.

What is not collected
The app contains no behavioural analytics, no session recording, and no advertising or tracking SDKs. Nothing records which screens you visit or what you tap. Your data is never sold, and never shared for anyone else's marketing.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from within the app, in Settings. Doing so removes your account and profile from Supabase. Your videos and reports are on your phone, so deleting them is a separate action you take on the device.
Apple and RevenueCat keep their own records of purchases for accounting and fraud purposes, and deleting your account does not erase those. To cancel a subscription, use Settings on your Apple device — deleting your account does not cancel billing on its own.
Children
Swing Check is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email me and I will remove it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data held about you. The app lets you do all of this directly in Settings. If you would rather I handle it, email[email protected] and I will respond within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or who processes it, the date at the top of this page will change, and material changes will be surfaced in the app rather than left here quietly.
